Theaters all over the country are producing and holding contests for short plays, plays that cut to the chase without sacrificing character, content or conflict. In this half day class, we’ll look at examples of
successful short plays, perform in-class exercises, and begin writing plays. Open to experienced as well as beginning playwrights, the class has only one
requirement: the desire to write a play.
Candace Perry is an award-winning playwright whose work has been produced by a number of

She is an active member of the Provincetown Theater Company’s Playwrights’ Workshop and has taught “Writing the Short Play” on the Cape and in New Orleans, La.
